Topps has announced Match Attax UCC 2026/27, the latest instalment of its trading card game built around European club football. Set to launch on September 28, this release carries extra significance as it marks the 20th anniversary of a brand that has served as an entry point into the trading card hobby for millions of football fans worldwide.
A fully refreshed base set
As in previous years, the collection is built around a complete Base Set covering the squads competing in UEFA club competitions (Champions League, Europa League and Conference League), Leader cards, and a new group of rookies grouped under the Attax Debutants banner. The headline change this year is a multi-tier rarity structure for base cards, ranging from Rare all the way up to Hyper-Rare, adding an extra layer of excitement to every pack opened.
Redesigned inserts and new chase cards
The long-running Mirror Foil and Rainbow Foil insert lines have received a major visual overhaul, introducing fresh designs such as Power Play Signature Style, Slick, Attax Master, Fortress, Genuine Genius and Attax Supreme Master. Fan favourites Man of the Match Wildcard and Goaliaths are also making a comeback, now with improved gameplay features.
For the ultimate chase, several premium subsets raise the stakes: the fan-voted All-Time 100 Club holographics, the iconic All-Time Unbeatable 101, the Infinity puzzle cards, and two brand-new Hyper-Rare families called WHOOSH! and Enigma. Sitting at the very top of the rarity pyramid are the Mystical Full-Art cards, inserted at a frequency never seen before in Match Attax history.
Anniversary-only exclusives
To celebrate two decades of the brand, the range includes commemorative Limited Edition cards spread across the entire retail lineup. Several product formats also come with their own dedicated chase: Age of Heroes cards in Booster Tins, Greatest Hits in Mega Tins, an Amazon-exclusive Black Nitro card in the Starter Pack, and a Festive Edition tucked inside the Countdown Calendar.
The bottom line
With refined gameplay, an overhauled rarity system, premium foil technology and some of the biggest names in European football, Match Attax UCC 2026/27 shapes up as one of the most ambitious releases in the brand’s history. A full checklist is already available for download for collectors eager to plan out their binder.
