Ravensburger has officially unveiled the press release for its next Disney Lorcana TCG set: Attack of the Vine! This new chapter wraps up a year-long storyline and draws its inspiration from three beloved Pixar films: Up, Monsters, Inc. and Turning Red. 🐉🌱

🧠 A threat born from magic ink
According to Nicole Smith, Senior Narrative Designer at Ravensburger, the realm of Lorcana now faces a Vine that has grown completely out of control after absorbing all the magic ink released during the flood featured in previous sets. It’s a formidable foe that can only be defeated through genuine teamwork among Illumineers.
🎨 Enchanted cards get the “Cinemagic” treatment
True to the spirit of the summer blockbuster adventures fans love on the big screen, Attack of the Vine! pays tribute to these Pixar classics through its artwork. Enchanted rarity cards adopt a brand-new art style called “Cinemagic.”
The set’s two rarest cards, the Iconic cards, push the concept even further with extra foil finishes and movie-poster-inspired graphics:
- 🦄 Lilo & Stitch – Fun-Loving Friends
- 🌹 Belle & The Beast – Just Like the Stars
That pairing is no accident — teamwork is the central theme of the whole set.
⚙️ A new mechanic: the Team classification
Steve Warner, game co-creator and Head of Game Design at Ravensburger, explains that the new Team classification lets any character sharing a name with one of the team’s members act as a base for Shift. In practice, this means:
- More Shift target options in the Core Constructed format.
- New strategic possibilities in the Infinity format.
🔄 A rotation for Core Constructed
The preview of Attack of the Vine! also brings a rotation to the competitive Disney Lorcana Challenge format. Starting July 17, 2026, only cards from the following sets will be legal in Core Constructed:
- Fabled
- Whispers in the Well
- Winterspell
- Wilds Unknown
- Attack of the Vine!
👉 Good news for Infinity Constructed players: nearly every card in the Disney Lorcana TCG (with one exception) remains legal in that format, including at the recent Disney Lorcana Challenge events in Dortmund and Indianapolis.

- Hyperia City: the next set, inspired by Pixar’s Coco, previews on October 16, 2026 at Ravensburger Play Hub retailers (with the return of preview packs), followed by general release on October 23, 2026.
