Riftbound Comes to Korea: The League of Legends TCG at MSI Fan Fest

Riot Games has officially announced exciting news for the Riftbound community: the official League of Legends TCG will soon be available in Korean. A highly symbolic launch for a game that is growing on the international stage.

A Fourth Language for Riftbound

After Chinese, English, and French (which launched on May 29, 2026), Korean becomes the fourth official language of Riftbound. The Korean version of the first set, Origins, is scheduled for September 2026, allowing Korean players to discover the game in their native language this autumn.

This phased rollout is part of the global strategy of Riot Games and UVS Games, aiming for a worldwide synchronized launch by the end of 2026 — an ambitious goal that is taking shape set after set.

A Tribute to T1’s Triple Crown

To mark the occasion, Riot Games has prepared special content dedicated to T1’s victory at the 2025 League of Legends World Championship. And there is plenty to celebrate: on November 9, 2025 in Chengdu, T1 became the first team in history to win three consecutive world titles, defeating KT Rolster 3-2 in an epic final.

This historic “three-peat” earned Faker his sixth world title, further cementing his status as the greatest player of all time. Gumayushi, named Finals MVP, was rewarded with a Prestige Mythic Miss Fortune skin, adorned with three guns each symbolizing one of his three championships (2023, 2024, 2025).

Riftbound at the Seoul MSI Fan Fest

The card game will also be present at the MSI Fan Fest, the event held alongside the 2026 Mid-Season Invitational, taking place from July 3 to 12 at the Daejeon Convention Center II in Seoul, South Korea.

Fans will be able to use the festival to try out Riftbound demo decks translated into Korean, between matches featuring the world’s best professional LoL teams. An ideal opportunity to introduce the TCG to a Korean audience naturally passionate about the League of Legends universe.

What is Riftbound?

For those new to the game: Riftbound is the first official physical TCG for League of Legends, developed by Riot Games in collaboration with UVS Games. Originally known as Project K, it was designed by a team with experience on Magic: The Gathering, giving it genuine strategic depth.

The game is played by 2 to 4 players, with the goal of reaching 8 victory points by controlling battlefields. Each deck is built around a Legend card (defining two colors out of six) and a Champion card, embodying iconic figures from Runeterra: Jinx, Garen, Lux, Yasuo, Lee Sin, Viktor…

Three sets are currently available in English: Origins, Spiritforged, and Unleashed. A fourth set, Vendetta, is expected in October 2026 with a simultaneous worldwide release in English, French, and Chinese.
